  • BSc in structural Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. (1984)
  • Graduate Studies  in Planning & Management,  College of Regional Planning, and Johnson School of Management at Cornell University, USA (2000-2001)
  • Completed more than 15 professional training courses in Egypt, UK, USA, Australia and Dubai
  • Fellow member and member of more than 13 international professional associations
  • Certificate of Consultant Engineer in Transportation Planning & Traffic Engineering – Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers (2009)

  • In depth knowledge of transport engineering & planning sciences and fields related to the various transport systems (road, rail, ports, airports, passenger/freight transport and mass transit systems)
  • In depth knowledge of transport strategy, policy, planning, travel demand modelling, feasibility studies,  urban and master plan reviews, sustainable transport, etc..
  • In depth knowledge of traffic engineering & management fields as related to traffic safety, parking, road hierarchy, traffic modeling,  traffic management and control, travel demand management, traffic safety, traffic impact assessment, environment impact assessment, etc..
  • In depth knowledge of public transport planning, evaluation and operation as well as of logistics management.
  • In depth knowledge  of system analysis, strategic planning, government restructuring and reform, project financing, PPP, Privatisation, sustainable development, capacity building
