  • 1989-1990 First Elected International Students’ Officer of the Union Society of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
  • 1990 Awarded an honorary life membership in the union society of University of Newcastle upon Tyne in recognition to my efforts in support of international students.
  • 1988– 1990 Member of Organising committee of the Annual Islamic Cultural Week to introduce Islamic culture and heritage to Newcastle upon Tyne university students and residents, UK.
  • 2007 Chair of Organising Committee for launching of the Islamic multi-cultural ceremony in ACT, Australia. This included exhibition, speeches, prayers, children performing Islamic songs, and dinner. This was attended by ACT Chief Minister, local politicians as well as Muslim Embassy representations.
  • 2007/2008 Spearheaded the Canberra Muslim Community land committee to conduct technical and community negotiation with the Land Development Agency ACT, Australia to obtain necessary approvals for the direct sale (i.e. at no fee) of land with the purpose of constructing a Muslim place of worship (Mosque) with an attached community centre, children playground, outdoor community event area, office residence and guest house.
  • 2006-2008 First Elected Chairman of Parents and Citizens Association of the Islamic School of Canberra – Australia. During this time worked with the P&C members on a number of initiatives for the Islamic school and the Islamic community in Canberra including securing a better and bigger  location for a New Islamic School in Canberra.
  • 2009-up to date Sponsorship and Responsibility for building a Mosque and Islamic Events Facility in New Cairo – Egypt (Area 4200 m2).
  • 2010 Participated in a movie entitled “Stop Smoking”.
